Regular cervical screening is essential for early detection and prevention of cervical cancer. The cervix plays a crucial role in reproductive health, and routine checks help identify abnormal cervical cell changes before they become problematic.

Our Cervical Screening & Colposcopy Services
- Cervical Screening Test (CST) – Replacing the Pap smear, this test detects high-risk HPV infections that can lead to cervical abnormalities. It is recommended for women starting at age 25, with follow-up every five years if results are normal.
- Colposcopy – If an abnormality is detected in your CST or you experience symptoms such as abnormal bleeding, a colposcopy may be recommended. This in-office procedure allows for a detailed examination of the cervix using a specialised magnifying instrument (colposcope) to identify any abnormal cells.
- Biopsy & Treatment Options – If necessary, we perform a small biopsy during colposcopy to assess cervical changes. Treatment options may include:
- Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LLETZ/LEEP) – Removes abnormal cells while preserving healthy cervical tissue.
- Cone Biopsy – A more extensive procedure used for high-grade abnormalities.
